Prayer Ministry

A church may distinguish itself for a number of good things — music, preaching, philanthropies, friendliness, or political and cultural influence — and yet fail. If it is not also distinguished for praying, that church is arranging its own funeral.

From Hobe Sound’s inception, the ministry of prayer has always been a vital part, and it must continually be so. God wants His people to pray.

Our purpose is not only to inform you of the various places and times of prayer, but also encourage you to become an active prayer partner.

Early Morning Prayer

5:00 - 7:00 AM · CEC Auditorium
This prayer session provides a good time and place to start your busy day.

Women's Prayer Meeting

10:00 AM · Monday - Saturday Spanish Chapel
A dedicated group of prayer warriors

Saturday Night Prayer

7:00 - 8:00 PM · CEC Auditorium
For years, this source of power has set the spiritual tone for the Sunday services. Many leaders of our work feel the importance of being in this prayer service. People can be seen kneeling, sitting or walking, but their goals are the same — to reach the throne of grace with their petitions.

Pastor's Prayer Partner Ministry

This ministry is made up of a group of men who have committed themselves to spend extra time in prayer for the leadership of the church. Before each Sunday service, a delegation of men gather to pray for the pastor or special speaker.

Hobe Sound Prayer Chain

Often there are emergencies or very important matters which need immediate prayer. This "emergency only" ministry is ready to intercede for these "prayer alerts." You may call the church office (546-5696) with these needs and they will be passed on to the prayer chain. This ministry is always open for new recruitments. A new list of prayer captains will soon be posted.

"My House shall be called an House of Prayer"

We are thankful for the confidence that people have placed in the prayer warriors of our church. Requests from all over the country come to us and are put on our Wednesday and Sunday prayer lists.

In addition to the regular midweek service, other prayer groups meet throughout the week. The youth, YAMS, and the singles have weekly prayer meetings. Others are meeting in homes for the sole purpose of revival.

The scriptural injunction, “My house shall be called an house of prayer,” has not gone unheeded.
