Music and the Fine Arts

“One hallmark of growing, vibrant churches is God-honoring music presented with excellence and heart-felt fervency.  In the same attitude of the apostle Paul when he wrote that the believer is to ‘sing with the spirit, and sing with the understanding also,’ (I Cor 14:15) it is my desire that our musicians minister with spiritual perception and doctrinal integrity coupled with divine anointing for the spiritual benefit of the congregation. The aim of the music program is to present music that facilitates congregational worship, encourages, inspires and challenges the saints, convicts the sinner and draws them to the Savior, as well as to serve to equip and train our congregation for musical service.”

-- Mark Going

Why should we have a music ministry?

  • To glorify God as a body of believers
  • To encourage and edify the people of God.
  • To enable and develop musical talent in our church.
  • To attract and evangelize the lost.

What are some musical ministry opportunities?

  • Congregational Singing (some of the best in the world)
  • Sanctuary Choir
  • Sanctuary Singers
  • Instrumental Ensembles
  • Solo/Small Ensemble opportunities
  • Singing Christmas Tree
  • Easter Musical
  • Various other musical/drama activities throughout the year

How can I get involved?

Contact Pastor Mark Going or Doyle Bozone (546-5696) if you have questions about the choir, orchestra, or other musical and drama opportunities.

May God give us a music ministry that is scriptural, spiritual, and powerful – music that lifts up the Lord, edifies His children, and wins the lost!
