Hospitality Committee
We need to meet the welcome and information needs of our visitors when they attend our church. We desire to recognize, record, and properly and systematically follow up with letters, visits, and calls.
Who makes up this department?
- Financial ushers - receive and count the tithes and offerings and distribute church bulletins.
- Seating ushers - welcome the arriving congregation and assist in seating those who need guidance.
- Greeters - identify and get acquainted with church visitors and assist them in completing a visitor card and the guest book; give them a gift and a church information packet and report information to the director.
- Parking Lot Attendants - greet congregation as they arrive; assist new attendees, elderly and handicapped in finding the appropriate location (Sunday school class, Jr. Worship, etc.).
- After-church fellowship - Provides a time for church fellowship, once a quarter, for the congregation after service on Sunday night.
- Meal ministry - Often visitors attending our Sunday services have no place to go for the noon meal. The Meal Ministry accommodates by providing a meal.
